This collection contains true stories of child laborers turned advocates, poetry and art, and Youth Action Plans to build community knowledge of global child labor issues. The stories were developed from interviews undertaken by the International Center on Child Labor and Education with children and teenagers during the Children's World Congress on Child Labor in Florence, Italy, May 10-13, 2004, and the Children's World Congress in New Delhi, India, September 4-8, 2005. The poetry, painting and Youth Action Plans were initiated, carried out, and/or contributed by youth from across the United States.
